While part of me wishes I was a spur of the moment parent with no concrete plans for the summer I’m just not. The idea of no schedule makes me itchy. Plus, I really do love doing activities with my kids. It’s mutually fun. Taking the time to plan out a month of activities in December using Mama Papa Bubba’s Advent Calendar as inspiration made our home filled with such joy. I decided to take the same approach for the summer months and plan out our family fun. And for all of you lovely readers I’m sharing 48 Free Printable Summer Calendar Activity Cards. Nothing excites my children more than the anticipation of a surprise! A large part of our summer days will have my three little fish swimming the day away (no complaints here!), but I also like to mix it up with some fun outings, crafts and a few acts of kindness. My plan is to create a Summer Calendar Board made from small craft boxes (I’ll share it in a few days) and put a different activity in each box. I’ve created 48 Free Printable Summer Calendar Activity Cards for you to enjoy.
I hope you will use our activities as inspiration for a fun summer. Once you print out the pages simply cut out the individual cards. You can display them however you please. It could be as simple as leaving a new card on the breakfast table each morning.
Here are some of the activities we have planned:
Make sand playdough.

Water balloon fight.

Buy a treat from the ice cream truck.
Have dinner outdoors.
Bring food to the food pantry.
Make sand paintings.
Go for a hike.
Make dinner for a friend.
Brighten someone’s day with a homemade card.
Make trail mix.
Learn a new card game.
Tie die shirts.
Go to a restaurant for lunch.
Fly a kite.
Make sand slime. (Little Bins for Little Hands)
Make and decorate our own cupcakes.
Go to the movie theatre.
