TIME FOR SUGAR COOKIE PAINTING!
Prior to beginning make your favorite sugar cookie recipe. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and create shapes using your favorite cookie cutters. Place cookie shapes on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Now for the cookie paint! Decide how many colors you want to have and place one egg yolk per color in a shallow dish. Mix a couple drops of food coloring in with each egg yolk. I recommend using natural vegetable based food colorings versus artificial food dyes.
Paint the cookies using a q-tip or small paint brush. The egg yolk paint will give the cookies a beautiful shine.
Bake cookies for time stated in your recipe. Try not to eat them all in one sitting!
