Our snow is melting and we are looking forward to planting our flower and vegetable gardens! While we wait for the last of the Winter weather to disappear I thought it would be fun to create a Spring Garden Playdough kit complete with flowers, seeds and vegetables to plant. My girls went crazy for this kit!

TIME FOR FUN WITH THE SPRING GARDEN PLAYDOUGH KIT!
Begin by making up a batch of homemade playdough. You can see our full instructions here. For our Spring Garden Playdough Kit I wanted to explore planting vegetables and flowers. I glued the foam glitter flower and leave stickers to the craft sticks. I also wanted to focus on vegetables that grow under the ground so I used a green and orange marker on the craft sticks to create carrots. I drew suns on yellow paper, cut them out and glued them to the craft sticks. I included green beads for the seeds. Best part? All the prep work took less than 10 minutes.
I introduced the Spring Garden Playdough by sorting the carrots, flowers, beads, playdough and interlocking notched craft sticks (for fences) in a plastic chip and dip tray.
My girls squealed with delight when they saw our newest playdough kit! They immediately got to work exploring the supplies.
Luca loved the idea of planting the carrots underground and then harvesting them.
Such a fun morning with playdough!
