Piles of recycled goods waiting to be taken to the bin and kids saying “I’m bored” are a daily fixture in my home. Our Recycled Art Creation Station solves both these problems creating a clutter-free home and happy, engaged kids. A pile of recycled goods on their own isn’t enough. I find you need to provide a special items to grab children’s attention and get them excited. Add a few kids and some amazing imaginations and you will fall in love with this idea.

HOW TO SET UP YOUR RECYCLED ART CREATION STATION
Find a place in your home or classroom that has enough space to display the various materials. I put ours on the top of our block building shelf so that both areas could be used together. I wanted there to be about 8-10 materials so that there would be enough variety without it being overwhelming.
Now for the fun! No real instruction needed, just the imaginations of children. I purposefully put out the materials and let my kids discover them. As the materials get used I replace them with the same things or different materials.
I am in awe of what my children create. We had just returned from a beach vacation and boats and the beautiful blue ocean were on my kids minds. They created these super cool boats with a bright blue water. Pretty amazing!
