When it incredibly snowy outside and you’ve watched way too many kids’ shows and froze their noses with outdoor fun, it’s time to get baking! With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching this is the perfect day to make Peanut Butter Chocolate Heart Cookies.

- 1 package Dove Heart Chocolates
- ½ C butter
- ¾ C all natural peanut butter
- ⅓ C sugar
- ⅓ C packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ C all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- Additional sugar
- Heat oven to 375°F.
- Remove wrappers from chocolates.
- Mix butter and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended.
- Add ⅓ cup sugar and brown sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
- Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Immediately press a chocolate into center of each cookie. Don't worry, the cookies will crack around the edges.
- Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE HEART COOKIES
