My daughters are really interested in learning the letter sequence of their names. I am always looking for ways to combine multiple areas of learning. Today I am combining name recognition and fine motor development with this Name Search Playdough Game.

HOW TO PLAY THE NAME SEARCH PLAYDOUGH GAME
Begin by making a batch of playdough. Find out how to make our Homemade Playdough Recipe here. Write each child’s name on a blank index card. Next find the letters of each child’s name using the letter tiles adding a few extra letters that are not in the child’s name.
Hide the letter tiles in the playdough. Give each child the mound of playdough and her name card. Tell each child that the letters of his name are hidden in the playdough. Give each child the time to search through the playdough, find the letters of the name and line them up in the correct sequence. Play as many times as you want!
