This past year I have focused on HUGE art with lots of movement. I love thinking outside the box and creating fun projects. I was at an event on Sunday promoting my new Homegrown Friends Classes in West Hartford, CT and had the pleasure of meeting the teachers from a local preschool. They were creating spin art using a lazy susan and I knew we had to try it. Plus, they used scented markers which made it extra fun. Marker Spin Art is so much fun!
WHAT YOU NEED FOR MARKER SPIN ART
makers- these scented markers are fun!
lazy susan (also known as a turntable)
paper- we cut pieces from our butcher roll paper
TIME FOR MARKER SPIN ART!
Begin by cutting paper the same size as the lazy susan. Tape the paper to the lazy susan. One person spins the lazy susan while another person takes a marker and glides the marker from the middle to the edge. You can also begin at the edge and move to the middle. The key is to slowly drag the marker and cool circular lines will magically appear,
Keep adding different colored markers to create awesome designs.
We also tried one of our new favorite art supplies- paint sticks. We loved the results.
