One of the most wonderful outcomes of making our own Homemade Butter is the Homemade Buttermilk that comes with the process. What’s a girl to do with a cup of fresh buttermilk staring at her? Make our Homemade Buttermilk Oatmeal Pancakes of course!

- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup quick oats (do not use old-fashioned oats)
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup all purpose flour (use unbleached if possible)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- COOKING TOOLS
- bowl
- measuring cup- 1 cup, ¼ cup
- measuring spoons- teaspoon, ½ teaspoon, tablespoon
- large mixing spoon
- electric griddle or stovetop griddle
- In a large bowl mix together all of the ingredients until combined.
- Grease griddle with butter and turn to medium heat.
- Spoon pancake mixture onto griddle.
- Flip when golden brown.
