Gone are the days when I was juggling nursing twin infants and keeping an energetic 2 year old boy from destroying our home. Life was crazy back then, but one thing I learned is how important it is to take care of ourselves as mothers. We get lost in the shuffle too often. For me as a busy mom of twin 4 year olds and a six year old beauty is not defined as needing to look glamorous. Beauty is strength, confidence, a sense of calm and feeling good about myself.
Here are 4 tips for an easy morning beauty routine for moms.
1) Begin your morning routine at night. Okay, so I know I said I would discuss an easy morning routine, but this tip actually begins with the night. I don’t know about you, but once my kids were born long, relaxing morning showers became non-existent. This is why after I put my kids to bed and work out I shower at night. No one is awake to bother me and I can take my time. Skintimate has a great line of shaving creams that smell amazing. The Strawberry Tangerine is heavenly! 4) Choose clothes that make you feel good. Recently I gave up the notion that my body was ever going to look exactly how I did before I had kids. Why chase something when you can love what you currently have? Take the time to purchase a few items that make you feel great! Strut those freshly shaved legs in a favorite pair of shorts or cute dress. Even on the days when I’m taking my kids to school or playing in our backyard the day is better when I take the time to choose clothes that make me feel good (and yes, some days that is my favorite pair of jeans and a t shirt).
