Halloween is one of those holidays that didn’t mean much to me until I had kids, and now I just love the magic of it all! The kids love to have our house filled with little decorations. I love creating quick and easy Halloween activities and art projects. These DIY Rainbow Halloween Pumpkin Crayons are both! Kids will love the process of making the crayons and then coloring with them. They also make the cutest Halloween gifts.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE DIY RAINBOW HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN CRAYONS
silicone pumpkin mold- this is the exact one we use
crayons- we used old broken ones, but you can always buy packs like these
HOW TO MAKE THE DIY RAINBOW HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN CRAYONS
First remove the paper from the crayons. Tip: soak the crayons in water overnight and the paper will slip off easily.
Next, break the crayons into pieces and sort by hues. You can also mix them up, but I love how they look this way. Add them to the pumpkin silicone mold.
Put the silicone mold on a baking tray. Bake at 230 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until crayons are completely melted. Take out of oven and cool completely before popping them out.
These make such a fun gift. Stack them up and wrap in a cellophane bag with a Halloween themed ribbon or keep them for yourself and have fun coloring!
