Apple Oatmeal Pancakes

September 24, 2013 by Meredith @ Homegrown Friends

I love delicious recipes that are easy to make with children! Cooking with your children is a wonderful way to explore different types of food (great for picky eaters!). The simple act of cooking promotes mathematics (measurement, number recognition, addition, subtraction, fractions), science (changes caused by heat or cold, how ingredients affect food), language development (reading, verbally following directions, exposure to print), sensory experiences (taste, touch, smell, sight, hearing), fine motor development (measuring with teaspoon or tablespoon), gross motor development (pouring, stirring) and creativity (food composition). Don’t underestimate how much learning is occuring while making a meal with your children!

Like our popular Pumpkin Oatmeal Pancakes our new Apple Oatmeal Pancakes are easy enough for a novice cook, quick to make and taste delicious!
