One of my favorite activities to do with my children once the Spring weather emerges is to get our hands dirty planting our flowers and fruit and vegetable gardens. There are so many learning opportunities when you garden with children. After a long winter in New England our yard was in need of a great deal of color. Time for some cheery flowers to brighten our home! And perfect timing for a Miracle Gro Review and Home Depot Giveaway!

I was so excited when Miracle Gro contacted me to tell me all about their new line of annual flowers! The timing was perfect as our front yard was looking pretty dull due to a long winter and the fact that our rhododendrons and azalea bushes were not in bloom yet.
I was eager to head over to our local Home Depot to check out the selection of Miracle Gro flowers. I immediately was drawn to the Calibrachoa flowers. The bright reds, yellows and purples were exactly the burst of color our yard needed. The new Miracle Gro line also offers hanging flowering plants and smaller potted flowering plants.
We returned home with a great selection of Miracle Gro flowering plants and got to work transforming our front year. Gardening is such a fun sensory experience for children. We love getting our hands dirty and discovering all the creatures that live underground. My kids are always eager to see who can find the largest worm! In between important worm explorations we were able to plant all of our flowers and enjoy our new brightly colored yard. I love the new look!
And the one chore I never have to remind my kids to do or ask twice? Watering our plants of course! What kid doesn’t love to get to use the hose?
