Best Cooperative Board Games to Buy

June 2, 2015 by Meredith @ Homegrown Friends

I love playing board games!  Games are an amazing way to connect with family or use as a learning tool in the classroom.  I believe competitive and cooperative board games are equally important.  Here are some of my Best Cooperative Board Games to Buy.

Hoot Owl Hoot

This is my all-time favorite cooperative game. Everyone is working together to get all the owls in their home before the sun goes up. Great game for teaching turn taking and patience. I also like that even though it is a cooperative game the group can “lose” at the end which is an important life skill.

Count Your Chickens

Here is another game from the company Peaceable Kingdom. Along the same lines as Hoot Owl Hoot all players are working together to get the baby chicks back to their home (the coop).

Feed the Woozle

Feed the Woozle

I love games that get kids up and moving! Children take turns rolling the die and spinning to see how many pieces of silly food (think toenail toast) they need to feed to the silly monster. Children then are challenged to carry the food on a spoon across the room to the woozle.

Kids on the Stage Charades

No reading skills required for this fun charades game!  The picture cards on the perfect size for small hands.  My kids love this low-key version of charades that give children a safe platform to speak and act in front of a group.

Puppy Pursuit Game

My kids and I played this game for over an hour! We all had a great time running all over our home as my three kids worked together to solve the clues and find the cute plush puppies.

Cranium Seek n Find Puzzle

I am a huge fan of the Cranium brand. We own many of their games. This game begins by first putting together a puzzle and then working together to choose cards and find the items on the card on the puzzle. We love this game series!
