Goop Drip Sensory Painting

February 11, 2015 by Meredith @ Homegrown Friends

I am so excited to share our Goop Drip Sensory Painting!  This activity combines all our favorite parts of sensory exploration with artistic expression.  My children had so much fun playing with the colorful goop and then creating gorgeous paintings using a variety of techniques.

HOW TO MAKE A GOOP DRIP SENSORY PAINTING

Begin by creating the goop.  Add 16 ounces corn starch and 1 cup of water to a large pan.  Give your child time to explore the goop.

so much fun to make goop drip sensory painting! We continued the process by adding more liquid watercolors and dripping the colored goop on the paper. We learned through trial and error that adding a lot of liquid watercolor will create more vibrant paintings.

love this goop drip sensory painting!

I love how our goop paintings turned out!  Once dry the goop felt like a smooth stone.  My children loved feeling it.

The paintings are incredibly fragile and will eventually start to crack.  Please keep in mind that creating a goop drip sensory painting is more about the process than the end product.  Have fun!
