My kids could not wait to get their hands on the VTech InnoTab MAX. I told them they had important research to do (playing games and exploring the tablet) and surprise, surprise, they were up to the challenge!
As a mom to three young children my time is limited. I was incredibly grateful to open the package and find simple, quick instructions for set up. After charging the battery, I had the tablet ready to go within minutes! Sigh of relief.
7 REASONS I LOVE THE VTECH INNOTAB MAX
1. KID-FRIENDLY
My children have limited experience with tablets and yet were able to independently use the VTech InnoTab MAX with limited assistance. The touch screen capabilities are perfect for little fingers. At ages 3 and 6 I was amazed how quickly they learned the games and navigated the InnoTab MAX.
2. VARIETY OF APPS
The versatility of the various applications is a huge plus. The Vtech InnoTab MAX comes with 15 preloaded apps, 1 free Toca Boca app and 2 additional free apps that can be downloaded from the Learning Lodge. Such a great feature! My children were able to draw pictures using the Art Studio, play a variety of games including Toca Pet Doctor (my children’s favorite!) and Super Kid Chef and read E-Books. My six year old loved walking around the house taking photographs with the built in camera and interviewing his family members using the video capabilities. There is even this amazing feature called KidConnect where my children can send a picture or message directly to my husband’s smartphone while he is at work and he can send a message back in real time. Genius!
3. SUPPORTS LITERACY
As an Early Childhood Educator I was impressed with the E-Books selection and application. The pace of the readings is perfect for emergent readers. Children can follow along with the highlighted words while enjoying the animated illustrations. I love the built in feature of being able to click on the highlighted words to hear the definitions. My children were eager to add more e-books to the VTech InnoTab MAX. We will definitely be purchasing more for our upcoming airplane trips!
4. DURABILITY
The InnoTab MAX is also incredibly durable. Anyone who has ever been around children knows this is a necessary feature. My children are in an “I can do it by myself” stage and I am delighted that this tablet could withstand the rough and tumble lifestyles of children. I love the built in case that surrounds the tablet and the handle that pulls out to carry the tablet. Perfect for little hands!
5. PARENT CONTROLS
As a mom, the parent controls are a key feature. Being able to set time limits and control internet access is a huge plus!
